Zijin Mining Group is one of the largest gold producers in China, operating six gold mines, including the largest open pit operating in China – Fujian Zijinshan Gold Mine as well as Guizhou Shuiyindong Gold Mine and Jilin Shuguang Gold-Copper Mine etc.. From January to June 2005, 7.46 tonnes of gold was produced.. Zijin sells its gold bullion of 99.95% and 99.99% purity online through the Shanghai Gold Exchange. The gold price of the Shanghai Gold Exchange has followed the international price closely since it started operation. Zijin Mining was listed in the FTSE MINE INDEX on 20 December 2004.
